Details have been revealed for the inaugural 6 Ore Di Roma, which is scheduled to take place at Vallelunga on 27-29 October.
The event will make history as the first-ever endurance race catering exclusively for GT4 cars. Entrants will be drawn from national and international series around the world, with the grid coming together to compete at the 4.1km circuit located near to Rome.
SRO Motorsports Group will bring its unmatched technical and sporting expertise to the event. The company created and continues to manage the GT4 platform, while its commitment to reduced costs, technical fairness and dynamic competition have helped to make the GT4 European Series an enormous success. These same principals will be applied for the 6 Ore Di Roma.
Three distinct classes will compete in the race. The Silver Cup will feature crews composed of three Silver-graded drivers; in Pro-Am, a professional (Platinum or Gold) will partner two Bronze drivers; and in Am, all three drivers must be graded Bronze. There will also be special cups open to rookies and female competitors.
The event will take place over three days, beginning with a 90-minute Free Practice session on Friday (27 October) and a further 90-minute Pre-Qualifying on Saturday morning. Qualifying will run on Saturday afternoon, with each driver entering one 15-minute session. The 6-hour race gets underway at 11:00 CEST on Sunday 29 October.
Fans wishing to experience the event can attend free of charge, including access to the paddock. Further information regarding the 6 Ore Di Roma is set to be announced during the coming weeks.
